The sea slug is a sea creature you catch while swimming in the sea (dive where you see bubbles). Look for a tiny shadow. In the northern hemisphere it is around all year, at any time of day. Nook's Cranny pays 600 Bells.
A tiny, very slow shadow found at all hours, all year. It barely moves, so any dive near it will do.
