Scallop
The scallop is a sea creature you catch while swimming in the sea (dive where you see bubbles). Look for a medium shadow. In the northern hemisphere it is around all year, at any time of day. It can only appear after you have caught 5 sea creatures. Nook's Cranny pays 1,200 Bells.
A Medium, slow shadow around all year after just 5 catches. Diving one up may bring Pascal to you, and he will trade it for a mermaid DIY recipe or other goodies.
