Pale chub
The pale chub is a fish you catch in rivers. Look for a tiny shadow. In the northern hemisphere it is around all year, from 9 AM – 4 PM. Nook's Cranny pays 200 Bells, C.J. pays 300 Bells.
An X-Small river shadow out in the daytime, all year. Cheap and plentiful, it is one of the easiest fish to tick off early.
