Mahi-mahi

The mahi-mahi is a fish you catch off the pier. Look for a very large shadow. In the northern hemisphere look for it in May – Oct, at any time of day. It can only appear after you have caught 50 fish. Nook's Cranny pays 6,000 Bells, C.J. pays 9,000 Bells.

Cast from the pier at X-Large shadows once you have 50 catches; it can bite at any hour in season. It is rare, so fish bait off the pier saves a lot of waiting for this 6,000 Bell fish.
