Blue marlin

The blue marlin is a fish you catch off the pier. Look for a huge shadow. In the northern hemisphere look for it in Jul – Sep, Nov – Apr, at any time of day. It can only appear after you have caught 50 fish. Nook's Cranny pays 10,000 Bells, C.J. pays 15,000 Bells.

Head to the pier and cast at XX-Large shadows once you have 50 catches. Throwing fish bait off the pier helps, and this 10,000 Bell fish fetches 15,000 from C.J.
