Ophthalmo torso

Ophthalmo torso is one of the 2 pieces of the Ophthalmosaurus fossil. Dig up fossils at the cracks on the ground, have Blathers assess them, then donate it to the museum or sell spares for 2,000 Bells.

Ophthalmosaurus was a dolphin-shaped marine reptile from the Jurassic, around 4 metres long. Its name means 'eye lizard' thanks to its enormous eyes, which probably helped it hunt in deep, dark water.
