Mantis

The mantis is a bug you catch on flowers. In the northern hemisphere look for it in Mar – Nov, from 8 AM – 5 PM. It hides when it rains. Nook's Cranny pays 430 Bells, Flick pays 645 Bells.

Look for a mantis perched on any flower during the day, as it is easy to see against the petals. Walk up slowly with A held, and note that rain keeps it away.
